When Harry met Jay

I’m having a chat with Harry Abrams over at Free Dominion. It is a good chance to see how the mind of the censor works.

And, hey, how often do we actual talk to the other side in the free speech debate. The Lying Jackal can’t take contradiction, Lucy is hiding under his dining room table from the dreaded basement nazis, or zombies or such like and the coward Lynch refuses to debate anyone. Harry at least has the balls to fight his corner.

And, bonus, you can make fun of Arthur Topham.

Thanks Jay – I swung over to FD and viewed the exchange. You and Fourhorses did a nice/great”Yeomans” job of outlining the issues and the dilemma for BB.

Harry did also post at BCF at some point and he clearly is no ones fool. He is though a typical ideologue, somewhat thin skinned and absolutely certain in the righteousness of his cause – he fits into the mold.

At one point, he told me he agreed with me in that a criminal investigation of the CHRC was warranted however, I am still waiting for either the B’nai Brith and/or the Canadian Jewish Congress to call for one to clear their name as intervenors.

Your statement that Harry’s 13.1 case might be the last was hilarious and so true. When some groups and individuals go to the Well too often, eventually it runs dry and SCARED. Lynch begging for help from the CBA was an act of desperation

But Jay, I did notice all the links (I assume) to Topham’s rants/writings.

I didn’t open any but assume they were proof substantiating a 13.1 complaint.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn’t the simple act of reposting “hate” messages/links also considered eligible for a 13.1 violation?

    The “Mind of the Censor?”
Bit of a shallow description, doncha think? You can do better than that.

I can’t recall ever making such a suggestion. Perhaps you could enlighten us further as to what I supposedly said.

    Thanks,

Having read the garbage you’ve contaminated FD with, I’d say Jay’s giving you too much credit by suggesting that you have a mind in the first place.

I love how Harry made the point very clear.

Pursuit of political opponents will proceed if politically safe.

Otherwise the law will be respected.

    Dawg,
I noticed that too, on another thread. Jay’s fanboys—Sean, DaninVan, even Mr. Shaidle—seem locked in at age 15.
Careful, Jay. This keeps up, Nambla Dick will link you to some pedophile site.

Oh, and I never did yet thank you for that invitation to go for a beer.

I nominate Derek and Sean above to stand in for the “mind of the censor.”

    You understand.

    Hi True West.
I’m having a party this weekend. We need an Audio Visual guy to run an 8 mm projector to show some old Cuban movies that I found in my parent’s bedroom closet.

    You’ll like Victoria.

    Jay,
I have enough trouble deciphering you when you’re attempting to speak clearly. (Arthur Topham = Judy Rebick and Mel Hurtig? WTF?) When you actually set out to be cryptic, you’re on you own.

i’d rather make fun of the sad hounddawg than topham if i may ?

where to start …where to begin….we go back a small ways but i detected this shmuck’s shtik immediately….failed yank(draft dodger as i’ve been told).....failed jewish comedian (as in bruce jay friedman’s seminal “Stern”.....”love me, hate me….boo hiss and spit on me but JUST PAY ATTENTION TO ME) so decides to decamp to ‘snow niggers heaven north of the 49th ….

get’s hisself a nice union job and fills his boots peddling the ‘usual horseshit’ to the proles…writes his own early retirement with his cronies….retires to a life of further ‘marching through the institutions’ as best he can….

fails of course( a man’s reach SHOULDN’T exceed his grasp…and demned rightly so indeed dagnabbit as pathetic Fido illustrates)

i tell you…this walking pathogen is so auto-infused with vainglory i would wager he dreams of a ‘sealed railway carriage’ to whisk him back to Washington DC…

but as he waits for the call from his contacts in the ‘movement’(NO…not the bowel as you would think)he amuses hisself click clacking away on the blogs…pestering one and all with his inanities…tap dancing like one double jointed sumbitch….but never really changing anybody’s mind….he simply needs the attention…

but have a nice day anyway Fido…

btw if anyone cares i have the carte de menu for Lenin’s sealed railway carriage journey back to russia…

but i’m wondering what the hounddawg will ORDER for his supper as he is rolled back to leningrad on the neva…oops..i meant washington on the potomac as the high Praesidium decides on terry glavin’s fate…prolly corn dogs and bud lite..(in his mind tho are glistening piles of caviar and tubs of brut champagne for the returning conquering hero )

and still one wonders why…who are these people cheering the train’s arrival …surely they all can’t be ‘lurid reactionary filth dressed up as anti -imperialism’ ?

is his fan base THAT large ?

well the Latin means “the thing speaks for itself”.

As to “retaliation” rumour has reached me that some idiot has tried to go after Free Dominion on the basis of the CHRA’s prohibition against retaliation.

    News to me.
The Gentes complaint is long over. Has someone new Section 13’d FD?

If anything it looks like there’s some kind of 1/2 baked retaliation attempt against Warman that’s very likely to backfire. My 2 cents.

Intersting Harry that you don’t remember but was not a big deal as this was before Lustig and Maika and Sue were there (at BCF) discussing some of the conflicting testimony out of the March/09 Lemire hearing. While hardly earth shattering – I recall suggesting that only a full criminal/parliamentary investigation would clear the air and I thought that you agreed.

Sorry if you didn’t and in fact DON’T Agree.

FD - not sure but think Pankiw and Boisson came after as rulings and appeals – not original new complaints?

Not sure about Warman but a full ACCOUNTABILITY of the CHRC, their present and past staff, practices, tactics etc as well as the CHRT is in order and long overdue. The transcripts in the Lemire and (case Lustig ruled on) should have sent warning bells to everyone, especially the PM.

Everyone is responsible for their actions – even politicians and special interest groups. But RETALIATION Harry?

I see Free-D or, rather, its ally Marc Lemire, (“redacted” my ass: you can tell the weasel by his paw) is harassing Richard Warman at his place of work. Nice.

Jay, be patient. All will unfold as it should.

And, johnny, keep boozing. You’ll be with Doug Collins soon enough. Tell him Hi for me.

How do you know it’s Lemire and not the co-defendants in Warman’s libel action against FD?

  27. Maikeru
    August 21st, 2009 at 10:50 am

Mr. Dawg, you reference a brief email exchange posted on FreeDominion, and ignore Harry Abrams’s voluminous posting there of the ‘harassment at his place of work’ visited upon Paul Fromm.

Fromm and Warman have an active interest in the same ideology, albeit for polar opposite reasons.

Of the two, the former’s method of advancing his cause is not dissimilar from Hitler’s diligent habit of speaking at every opportunity, any venue, however distant or small, to build public support.

The latter’s method of advancing his cause is not dissimilar from diligent means employed by Hitler’s various underlings once empowered by public support.

Jay, per above you may want to keep a weather eye out for possibly libelous statements that get posted to your blog for which you might swing if they’re left standing.

  29. jay
    August 21st, 2009 at 11:45 am

If you have a particular statement in mind Harry do let me know.

I tend to view invective pretty broadly, on the other hand if I or a commenter has a fact clearly wrong I will look at pulling it.

  30. dkite
    August 21st, 2009 at 11:54 am

    Harry Adams: Funny.

Why in the face of some bloggers is the CHRC backing off on pursuing it’s mandate? Maybe because they don’t have a mandate to do what they were doing.

If the CHRC brings an action against someone right now, there is a real possibility that they could have to fight it to the Supreme Court. There are resources available now, it’s not chasing after some poor slob with no money.

Now why would the CHRC back off faced with such an eventuality?

Simply put, if the supremes looked at how they implemented their mandate, they would be declared unconstitutional as mandated. We wouldn’t want that would we.

Just a dumb question: If Lynch or any of her minions overstep their legislated mandate and pursue individuals using the power of their office, can they be held personally liable for damages?

Harry, truth is a defense in libel.

  32. Harry Abrams
    August 21st, 2009 at 1:08 pm

Note to Derek. If you call someone “scum” don’t expect answers even to polite questions afterwards.

  33. jay
    August 21st, 2009 at 1:19 pm

    Definitely a downside to invective.

However, Derek, the short answer is that for a public servant (an I use the term loosely) to be held personally liable it would have to be proven that they abused their office for direct personal gain. Score settling would, potentially, meet that thresh hold but it would have to be very blatant indeed.

I thought I had detected Lemire’s inimitable style at Free-D, but given that old photograph business a few months back I don’t want to make the same mistake twice. :)

    “and johnny,keep boozing” ????

sorry hounddawg…lips that touch liquor will never touch mine…i’m high on life brother…

having said that, then wishing me dead with that great man doug collins tsk tsk tsk…..a skilled satirist and a war hero too is rather typical of the ‘luridness’ of the llleft glavin was referring to…you’re as stellar example of the shrunken imagination and the utter lack of historical perspective doug collins often referred to…you’re not fit to carry doug collin’s lunch pail..

i LOVE reading your bilgewater when you attempt to ‘imminentize the eschaton’ as the revered bill buckley described it…it’s so…so…kinda overwrought and so emotional yet obviously shortsighted as far as experience goes….i bet you smoke pot don’t you…

so…you deny the draft dodger accusation(but you are a yank?)....but keep silent on whether or not you pimped for some union and filled your boots at the expense of the proles that you were ‘representing’... that part of my brief is true then….and the recurring dream you have of being called by a much higher authority to return and use your 1000 watt lights to set things straight in Washington DC IS true ?...are you taking medication ?...have you dosed yourself today ?....have you ever worked up a sweat making your living ?...did you ever have a steady job and join a choir but never plan to walk the high wire ?

    are you a poseur…?

    discuss dawg…

  37. john begley
    August 21st, 2009 at 7:09 pm

of course won’t actually discuss anything….he only exists as an attention seeking gadfly and the more responses he receives the happier he is tap tap tapping away at his keyboard in the insane tap dancing manner he has of never REALLY answering a straightforward question…but of only further parsing in that insane hairsplitting manner of most quite pathetically mad true believing llleftistas….who also CRAVE being paid attention to…

he’s a sad case…i wonder how people refrain from ignoring the poor misguided poseur…..his recurring thesis is contemptible…his argument worthy of a sixth former…and his waspish jets of low rent insult would i think make him shunnable..

and when one considers his abysmal appalling iggorance of human nature ?....

“and so i stepped out more briskly”

the “DOCTOR” for the love of Mike…

ferkrissakes imagine this klepto/ideologue considering himself any kind of an expert on anything other than in effect pilfering from the masses…robbing the great unwashed with a fountain pen…

..then paying for his pecculation by spewing bafflegab designed to appeal to the poor hard done by and demonstrably overdone toiling masses to keep hisself in an executive position union-wise …

and THEN having the temerity to attempt to lecture his betters on the politesse of human socio-political interaction..

he’s another one of these dim twits whose fallback justification is they’re imminentizing the eschaton(pacem buckley)

  39. dkite

Oh yes, the discussion should be kept respectful.

I’ve talked to people who looked over my shoulder in fear of authority. Members of my family have been pursued in the streets by mobs fomented by powerful groups allied with government. This in Canada.

I use invective purposefully. Not many who have experienced the abuse of power speaks of it without anger. Nor do they speak respectfully of those who support such practice.
