I’d agree. It is a wonderful city. But I have to say that Victoria, being Vancouver 35 years ago, smokes Vancouver in terms of livability simply because Vancouver, 35 years ago would smoke Vancouver today. Imagine a city where you can get your car fixed in a gas station, where the lineup at the liquor store on Christmas Eve was, er, two people.

Yes, it is a bit sleepy. but if I wanted dynamic I’d live in New York or LA or London, not Vancouver. Dynamic and livable are two rather different qualities.

Well, thanks for the nice words about Victoria! I agree whole-heartedly - although I’m jealous of the Skytrain.

Although, if you only see 2 people in line at the liquor store on Christmas Eve, would you mind letting me know the location? Cause I’m tired of standing in lines that snake all the way through the store.

Best to live because of lowered possibility of terror attack.
Hm. Seems to me they have in the last few years stopped a number of terrorists at the border attempting to enter the US from just 10 mins. south of Vancouver not to mention the Lockerbie bombers are from Vancouver.

Yup gotta feel safe in a City like that.
