Trust Me…

Harper told Conservatives they must be practical in their approach to the future and heed the concerns of all people, whether they support the Tories or not.

“We will have to be both tough and pragmatic, not unrealistic or ideological, in dealing with the complex economic challenges that confront us,” Harper said. cbc

Horseshit Steve.

The reality is that there are lots of files – beginning with s. 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act – where the CPC can and should govern according to its alleged principles.

Issues like s. 13, the sale of parts or all of the CBC (or mvoing its HQ to Moose Jaw) have nothing at all to do with the economy. There are plenty of conservative things to do. All it takes is a bit of political courage to do them.

Leaders aren’t afraid to lead. We need real leadership here.
Many in the media are onside with free speech. If not now, when
    will we have leadership?

    Great post, Jay.
    Harper has been so disappointing.
I can’t think of another politician (in this or any other democracy) who
has so completely abandoned principles and policies he once advocated.
Only my intense dislike of the Liberals keeps me supporting the CPC.
