Avi Lewis, the former CBC host and husband of author Naomi Klein, has joined Al Jazeera’s rapidly growing English network as host of a weekly program on the American election. national post

Perfect…now if he could just slip Naomi into a burqa al Jazeera will have pretty much made my week.

Somedays it’s hard not to believe that Canada’s future would be so much brighter if we could just convince all the little Lewis’ and Trudeaus to retire to some remote tropical island and pronounce on what rubes we all are while sipping margueritas.

Can you imagine anything more gruesome than being stuck at the Lewis dinner table listening to Dad going on about Bush and Aids, Mom doing one of her gross feminist rants and little Avi defending Hezbollah? I know I would feel forever indebted if someone turned on the TV, even if the only escape was to a little Mulroney previewing Canadian Idol.

I don’t watch the CBC and saw only one of Lewis’ interviews. It was with Ayaan Hirsi Ali and it told me all I need to know about Avi. I am sure he will fit right in at his new surroundings.

This doctrinaire leftard spew is becoming so tired even the CBC are shedding the fruit bats
who nag us with it.

40 is kind of young to be washed up fro a public figure…but Avi can always get a brand new bag…just make sure it resonates with rational normal people Avi…the world is not comprised of the touch-hole suburban bolshi nerds you hung with when you were still parking with palm.
