The Wheels on the Bus are falling off, falling off

You know, I’ve never bought the idea of “paradigm shift” but I did create the idea of “paradigm collapse” today listening to sustainability discussion. When the paradigm collapses, that is when you learn who by plan or by fluke found themselves in the position to best deal with the collapse. They survive. Random selection. Makes more sense. gen-x at 40

I suspect we’ll be hearing quite a lot about “paradigm collapse” as the wheels continue to fall off the “global waming”, “AGW”, “climate change” bus in the face of a) the fact the world is getting cooler, b) recession.

It is an all purpose concept. I now use it for the reason I got stalled in the pub on my way home for dinner. If I get desert, well, then I know I made it through that day’s “survival of the fittest” test.

Another emotional cause de jour abandoned by all but the bitter fringe who need apocalyptic myth to cling to to rationalize their sociopathy….for the other “feeling” hunchemen it’s on to the next cause. Hopefully a fulfilled progressive lemming can support several world/earth saving causes before retiring each day.

If you look at any of the climate change charts you will see the same patterns (and patterns within patterns): gradual rise in temperature followed by a sudden drop. In other words, based on the historical and pre-historical global temeprature patterns, before we ever get to see temperatures reach the dizzying heights forecast by your pal Al Gore, we would see a sudden drop and then a gradual increase again. Its the same graph as in natural population changes and, curiously, stock markets. Boom & Bust.
