Matthias, based in Shanghai, has been chasing pirates and counterfeiters on behalf of Rouse clients for eight years. She has tracked down and brought to heel the makers of unlicensed Beanie Babies and Teletubbies. The latter were special fakes since – besides looking cuddly and weird – they also sang Spice Girl songs. “That was a good example of double-infringement because they infringed the BBC’s Teletubby brand and the Spice Girls,” she says.

In a perverse way I really, really, really want Teletubbie which sang Spice Grils songs. Until I read this article I didn’t realize that. Thank you CBC.
