That’ll learn ‘em

Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told the latest cabinet meeting in the Iranian capital that “if we were permitted to hang two or three persons, the problems with the stock exchange would be solved for ever”, according to a Tehran-based newspaper.

Ahmadinejad was addressing a cabinet meeting held to discuss the rapidly deteriorating situation at the Tehran Stock Exchange, the daily Ruznet reported on Sunday.

First we obliterate Israel and then, just to make sure the 13th century remains alive and well in Tehran, we’ll hang some people who are selling shares.

The internal collapse of Iran is going to take a while but Ahmadinejad is doing his best to make sure the place sounds as if it is being run by the inmates of the asylum.

Ahem. As someone who has been an inmate in several psychiatric facilities, I must ask you to stop besmirching us by associating us with the leaders in Iran. We’re not _THAT_ dysfunctional.
