Thanks Kathy

Kathy Shaidle caught Mike Brock and I chatting about Ezra’s Defence. Apparently I sound like James Lileks. We get to Ezra half way through.

Kathy mentions my wondering who is paying for Warman’s lawsuit. Now filing the not terribly well drafted thing was not very expensive; but taking this to trial, especially now that Ezra has called Warman’s reputation into question is not going to be cheap. Warman works for the Department of National Defence. How much he makes is, no doubt, a state secret; but it is unlikely to be enough to fund a six week trial. So, who is paying or will be paying for this?

Without a doubt one of the THE best A&Ms ever…I now forgive you for treating the Dawg like anything other than a partisan zombie.

Sorry Jay, but ALL lock-step partisans or ideologues are zombies…slaves to a narrow orthodoxy and incapable of critical thought.

I would assume that the case is being handled on a contingency basis, with a portion of the Court Ordered Award going to counsel. That, of course, is why I found Ezra’s Defense requesting reasonable costs and fees so delicious. “Lucy” certainly has the ego to think this is a valid and winnable case. That will make the ultimate Court Decision so much more fun…and costly for the Plaintiff/ Complaintant (or whatever you call them up North).
Cheers
JR

Sorry I missed your segment, Jay. Unlike the non-partisans gathered here, I was staggering around a cornfield at the time.
