Oh Shit

Real world…It’s getting colder.

Combined with no sunspots this is not good news.

Climate change - as opposed to the consensus about global warming - does not go in one direction. A warmer planet would not be grand but we could deal with it. A colder planet, on the other hand would mean millions of very marginal people would die.

Those freezing winters of our youth were years where the grain harvests in Saskatchewan were maybe 50% of what they are today.

I would love the warmists to be a little bit wrong…the shark has jumped after all. But I pray to God that they are not entirely insane. ‘Cause if they are we are in for a Little Ice Age and that will be fatal to millions.

Tricky things those GHGs…they can produce heat when a eco-flame out is politically needed and they can produce cold when needed to explain bi-polar climate catastrophe. I hear cold makes you burn more carbon credits ;-)

Dunno, dude - eyeballing your chart, it looks to me like a 30-year trend of +.17 C per decade. Not as much as the climate alarmists claim, but still a warming trend.

The thing is, there will always be cold years (like 2008) and hot years (like 1998), and in the short run these fluctuation will overwhelm any underlying trend.

This should be good: put a carbon tax on everything, then be faced with colder winters. Nice.

BTW, the same website has a link to a paper that shows sunspots might be nil by 2015. I think I’ll start looking for property very, very much south of here.

Ah, people are not letting Jim Hansen, master distorionist speak politically. You mean Al Gore’s best “scientific friend”, George Soros funded “expert” who predicted global cooling and a new ice age before switching sides to the warmists, was prevented from making political speeches on the government dime…Hmmm.
