The Liberals are warning Stephen Harper that they will no longer give him a free legislative pass – as they did in the last session of Parliament – to avoid another federal election.Leader Stéphane Dion says his MPs no longer have the stomach for abstaining from, or not showing up for, confidence votes.

Apparently the Grits have had enough with being unacknowledged coalition partners with the CPC. So they are going to man up an defeat the CPC first chance they get. Broke, effectively leaderless, with a fair number of strong contenders bowing out of the race, M. Dion is going to force an election…In January…In Canada.

Bring it on! Give them a hard times budget that clips all the fluff out of LPC superfluous patronage subsidy programs and puts it in the equalization pot then lets take to the polls to see how Canadians react to voting again for 3 parties with no economic plan in mid recession.

This is not stupid. Layton will have to now decide how long he will prop up the Harper Party and when we will have the next election. What have the LIberals got to lose? Layton was quick to ctiticize the Liberal proping up all the phony Harper non-confidence bills last session. Good for the Liberals to say they are no longer interested in such political extortion.
