Keep the BC Civil Liberties Association away from the Kangaroo Court

Given the Tribunal’s rejection of the request by the CCF in its ruling of May 16, 2008 (2008 CHRT 17), there does not appear to be a principled basis for granting intervenor status Simon Fothergill, Senior Counsel, Department of Justice

Well, at least Fothergill can spell “principled”.

But remember, Fothergill acts for his client and his client is the Department of Justice on behalf of the Government of Canada. That means Rob Nicholson, the Cabinet and Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Had any of these people an ounce of integrity, much less a passing acquaintance with 800 years of common law, they would instruct their lawyer to switch sides.

Fat chance.

(As a piece of legal reasoning this makes a good deal of sense…”Mr. Member, you blew off the Canadian Constitution Foundation on specious grounds so let’s keep a good thing going and dump on the BCCLA. Otherwise, (sotte voce, you dork), you will look even sillier than you do already.”...Brilliant.)

    Preposterous! Rediculous! An outrage!

Someone bitch slap this Machiavellian pillock and inform him that the principle for objecting to state censorship and malfeasance is ALWAYS the same!

What, you need a different argument from “IT’S CIVILLY UNJUST”???

When institutionalized soft tyranny changes its basic MO expect to see principled civil justice change it’s arguments against it, but for now, Fothergill defends simple plain garden variety institutional corruption and its soft tyranny…so the same traditional principled arguments against it apply.

My gawd these people are truly genetically unjust…and totally unscrupulous. When did Canada become a practitioner of banana republic malfeasance?

“Had any of these people an ounce of integrity…”

...they’d be working in the private sector. The public sector is what we have to ensure that utter retards can maintain a reasonable standard of living while feeling that they’re contributing to society.
