Hot Room…Hot topic

This should be fun. Mike Brock has a new computer, apparently, Kathy Shaidle has discovered her “leftist gay militant open immigration supporter” persona. Renee, who actually was a nominated NDP candidate, is brave enough to deal with us.

Thanks, Jay, it was a blast, although I think I permanently damaged my tongue by biting it so hard a few times… ;)

Already got a hater on my ‘blog and it’s not even eleven o’clock! I say bravo.

    Hey,

Sorry to barge in, but I’m getting a little concerned that Truewest hasn’t shown up lately. I hope its not something I said.

I liked the part where Brock called you full of shit for saying only 23% of immigrants are paying into the system. What an asshole. I had a transcript written up with my comments added and tried to post it at the Standard but I’m banned there now and the comment got eaten. Oh well. At least you brought some numbers to the table, that’s good.

You and Kathy are a bit too single issue (teh Muslims!) I think to tackle this big issue the right way, but at least we’re talking immigration, that’s good too. Muslim immigrants are off the charts on most socioeconomic indicators, that’s a huge hole in your narrative that will prove impossible to overcome. Limiting immigration to democratic countries isn’t the way to go either, as you have previously suggested; if we are to have immigration I want Chinese people, lots of them, and banning them while letting in Jamaicans and Tamils isn’t the solution.

So, ah, have you ever criticized open immigration? Can I interest you in doing so, explicitly? You’ll have the field all to yourself on a slam dunk issue, you should go for it.

I stopped listening to that a couple of minutes in when the Lobotomied MagnifiKathy adopted the “tone” (‘My friends make more money than you do’, ‘You’ve spent far too time much at university, dear’).

No way in hell was I going to listen to two more hours of that.
