I guess I'm going to have to give a few more of my "Liberal Hunting Dog of Excellence" awards out. They go to the best example of having your attempted prey bite you in the ass. Jason Cherniak actually won two last week...

puh-leeze. I agree it is a farce, but saying that it was a Liberal smear plan when the tactic clearly is the opposite and has Harperish fingerprints all over it (the plan, that is) smells of spin. Maybe your recent sparring with your friend the liar is rubbing off on you? Just kidding.....

An amazing Liberal plan having a Tory candidate say this about a former Reform candidate and the PM admitting back then he knew something about what was going on. Not a chance of libel as the Liberal statement was an understanding that Harper admitted. All that will be said is going to revolve around Harper's admission - which is an admission of nothing at all unless it was something more but no one will ever know. Politics in a panicky time.

Anyone who thinks this is a master stroke plans to have the CPC at 35% max forever. Whoopt-de-doo. Then Harper can complain about biased judges again and the victimology cycle for Canadian conservatives can start one more loop.

I was just saying to a friend on the weekend about how boring Canadian politics can be compared to what happens in U.S. This makes things a whole lot more interesting. I wonder if this is the first time for a PM to sue Oppo Leader. I am mid-30's and I don't believe it's happened in my lifetime.

Dion can't back down without looking more of a clown than he already does. I don't imagine Harper is going to back down either but I have a hard time imagining this going to court. Who backtracks first?

I like your theory on how this might have been coordinated, Jay. It makes sense to me.
