Can a sockpuppet be a bigot?

Not content with having the Canadian Human Rights Commission act as his own, private, shakedown agency, the easily offended Richard Warman has, apparently, taken to posting vile, racist, remarks under a now traced phony name. I am not going republish this filth on my blog but go over to Free Dominion for the details.

Three observations: first, this is profoundly corrupt. Fake posts written by a serial complainant who then complains about the fake post should be enough to prompt a full scale, judicial, inquiry into the CHRC. How many other bigot-bots has Richard Warman fired into forums and comment sections and then complained about. At a minimum every one of Richard Warman’s complaints to the CHRC - and he has won all of them – should be re-investigated for fraud.

Part of that judicial inquiry should focus on how complicit the CHRC or its staff have been in this Richard Warman fraud and any others which may have occurred.

Second, Richard Warman is a lawyer. As such he is not supposed to be defrauding quasi-judicial bodies such as the CHRC. As this story gains traction it will be interesting to see if, for example, the proprietors of Free Dominion, ask the Benchers of the Law Society of Upper Canada to investigate.

Third, the losing parties in Richard Warman CHRC complaints would be well advised to seek legal advice as to the possibility of re-opening their complaint and/or looking to real courts for damages against Richard Warman and the CHRC.

Frankly, what little credibility the CHRC had has just been shredded. If the Tories had any stones they would shut the Commission down pending the outcome of a really hardcore, judicial, investigation of Richard Warman’s fraud.

    jay…
your three points are precisely my feeling…....
also….....one item in the questions barrister K. asked the HRC on behalf of a defendent was whether the police were ‘helpful’ in amassing evidence…..?!

...and from the response it appears they were….exceedingly so….never demurred once!

this bothers me….precisely why i don’t know but it does..is it of course because the HRC thugs can cherrypick any evidence provided ?

The links from FD re the Warman case are not to public documents. Are you sure all of this information is accurate?

    Just asking.

    Anonymous,

I would like to see the documents. However I have a fair degree of faith in FD’s integrity and also in their growing knowledge of libel law. This is much too serious for FD to be faking stuff.

More to the point, it fits Warman’s MO. And it is particularly telling that he dropped his N-bomb and C-bomb on Sen. Anne Cools, a black woman who was less than thrilled by same sex marriage and who has migrated steadily rightward since her appointment to the Senate.

    Jay,

I’m wondering why you are suggesting that CHRC staff are complicit. That’s maybe a leap.

As for Warman, I’ve always liked his anti-Nazi crusades, but I don’t like entrapment and planting incriminating evidence, and I will be following this story with care as it unfolds.

Thanks for the blog. I came here on a link from Five Feet of Fury (http://www.fivefeetoffury.com/), which I found on a link from Small Dead Animals (http://www.smalldeadanimals.com/). The Blogosphere is running the HRC stories at “ludicrous speed’ while the main stream media runs at “snails pace.” Keep on blogging and everyone keep on supporting the blogosphere, it’s the only reliable source of news these days.

    Dawg,

We need to know more, a lot more, about the entire Warman matter. However, here is the proximate basis for my suggesting that staff at CHRC may well have been complicit:

“There is also no doubt that the CHRC was aware of this internet posting by 90sAREover because it was a part of the original complaint filed by Richard Warman, when referred to tribunal. But this posting is no longer a part of the CHRC complaint against Lemire, the CHRC dropped it from the complaint the day after Mr. Lemire won a decision to subpoena Rogers’ internet records.

This posting by 90sAREover would be a slam dunk in a real court of law, so why did the CHRC drop it from the complaint? free dominion

I have no reason at all to believe that FD would make this stuff up especially as the public record can be checked.

Hmm seems some (dawg,Kinsella) are disputing the alleged facts of Warman’s postings as reported by Free dominion. Near as I can tell however they are questioning the sources Lemire et al. Free Dominion is sticking to its guns. The opposition seems to be labelling Lemire etc as Neo-Nazi’s, if they are too bad for them, it won’t change anything if the allegations of Warman’s postings are indeed true.

blazing, this is pretty much expected push back. Warman has made a few friends with his anti-neo-Nazi work.

The interesting question will be whether or not he sues. If he does sue he will be subject to full on discovery including a technical examination of his computer and his billing records.

    We’ll see what happens.

I am disgusted that anyone would defend Warman, even for hunting nazis. I hate Nazis. If they come to your town you should use free speech to shame them, not ask the government to take away their rights, hoping that it will never come back to harm you. Now as to crime, like conspiracy to commit violence, that’s what courts are for. There the plaintiff must actually swear and be held accountable. Racism is disgusting but it is not a crime; if it ever becomes one, thought-crime and pre-crime will only expand in scope. The real issue anyway is that Warman hunts lots of people who are not nazis, like david icke. It is insane to construe him as racist and even Warman says “his may not be a racist, but his ideas are dangerous”. Wake up 1984. Dangerous ideas are allowed. When he went after David he used deception and intimidation to shut down events. If forced to use a real court instead of a soviet tribunal, he would have long ago been punished for unlawful activity. I hate racists but it is high time that the fear of being seen as one stops trumping common sense and an actual belief in freedom.

Clearly, Connie and Mark are dead on.

The lack of any political response from the current government speaks volumes and they have been advised…several times!

The only thing that can resolve this is an independant inquiry and a criminal complaint with a police agency not connectexd to any of the CHRC cases.
