This clownservative meme that the left don’t take the threat of terrorism seriously is wrong. We simply refuse to let it scare us into the paranoid delusional world the right has slipped into where draconian measures are thought to be required to deal with it.
Furthermore, this incident proves the left has been right all along about how to deal with terrorism; good old fashioned police work is the way to go, not bombing the citizens of foreign nations who have nothing to do with any terrorists.
And, Robert, I’ve no doubt that along with the happy chat about good old fashioned ploice work we’ll be hearing about how we have to redouble our efforts for multi-cultural tolerance. That way we will be able to understand the essential Canadianness of the terrorist’s burqa babes who followed them to the Courthouse.
And, I am sure we’ll be hearing about how more Muslim immigration is a dandy idea.
And the sad part is we’d be hearing this from the left even if the TD Center was a twisted heap of smoking metal.
Of course we need excellent police work and thank God we got it. But these people were inspired by the radical Islamist program of international jihad and that ideology, regardles of where it is found, is the enemy. So blowing it up in foreign countries is a damn good idea.
