Blogging the Liberal Convention

The Toronto Star has a piece on blogging the Liberal convention. While they do not mention the “batcave” they do note that the blogging may have been a dry run for the next election.

Apparently the Grits had a chat with Paul Wells,

The party consulted with Maclean’s columnist and blogger Paul Wells about who should get to go. “I strongly urged them to pick some adversarial bloggers,” said Wells. Inviting bloggers can help, but “you sabotage your PR if you just invite puppets.” the star

The sad thing is that the Grits may well have been drinking the Howie Dean nutroots Kool-aid. If you see a group blog/forum called DailyDion or Liberal underground you’ll know they’ve gone to the dark side. So far, however, most of the Liberal blogs I read are solo efforts and pretty moderate..
