Belling the Jackal
Has MP Daryl Kramp (CPC Prince Edward—Hastings) belled the Jackal in the House of Commons? Will Iggy finally get the message? Will what’s left of the lazy national media crawl out from under its rock and report the story…Video soon.
Update: Video Now at No-Libs.
Can you imagine if a CPC adviser wandered about making ethnic slurs, insulting women, threatening Jews and justifying MPs attendance at terrorist rallies? Do you think the media would just lie there hoping the Mighty Jackal would give them a tummy rub?

What a great life you must have beating dead horses
March 9th, 2009 at 12:44 pm
Wow, Gus, that was fast even for you. Do you sort of hang around waiting for someone to post about the Jackal…heck of a life
March 9th, 2009 at 12:46 pm
Don’t you mean Dead Jackal Gus?
March 9th, 2009 at 12:54 pm
It certainly speak volumes about the worthless Liberal pandering MSM in this country!
... and the MSM is crying the blues over declining revenues … gee maybe the content has something do do with it ?????
March 9th, 2009 at 12:58 pm
I’d argue that the media is being willfully blind toward Warren’s antics… Think of it like a pay-to=play scam. If the media is kind to Warren, they’ll have easier access to the Liberal Party.
March 9th, 2009 at 1:00 pm
Could be Richard…sort of the old “If you report this and the LPC of Canada asks me for my advice – which they do often – I will tell them you are not loyal”. Fits the pattern.

The mentality that leads the media in the US to give Obama a pass is similar to the mentality at work here. This is just one of the reasons why our country is doomed.

The idiot backbencher couldn’t even get his facts straight. And as usual, the Cons’ hypocrisy knows no bounds.
1) There was no “Tamil Tiger” rally, but a rally of Tamils carrying their own Tamil Eelam flag. There is a broad separatist movement among the Tamils (and for good reason, if you’ve read your history), of which the Liberation Tigers are only a small part. Conflating the two is like accusing MPs of supporting the FLQ because the fleur-de-lis flag is flown at a rally.
This isn’t the first time, incidentally, that Cons have gotten their flags mixed up.
2) Kinsella did not “warn against eating Chinese food,” etc. He said, in fact, that he was looking forward to it.
But don’t let that get in the way of a good (if somewhat more restricted than you care to think) slander campaign. The truth, after all, has a left-wing bias.
March 9th, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Heard Kathy on Adler today. I wonder if he’s stupid enough complain to him?
March 9th, 2009 at 2:56 pm
Jay I posted my game-play at BCF. I think the jackal can be useful if used to full advantage. (Take note CPC!)
However his hypocrisy is astounding, though he is a legend in his own mind. BCL, are you still wiping his ass or have you hauled out the trash?
March 9th, 2009 at 5:15 pm
The flags I have seen flown were indeed Tamil Eelam which just so happens to include the LTTE logo without the text. Odd choice that. The signs carried by many protesters read, “LTTE Fights for Tamils Freedom in Sri Lanka”. The image of the man hosted on poles was Velupillai Prabhakaran leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.
So yes, if one really wants to suspend cognition I guess that it definitely was not in any way whatsoever a rally for Tamil Tigers.
While MP Kramp may have gotten somewhat confused by Kinsella’s ultimate message (and, really after numerous do-overs, who wouldn’t), I’m fairly certain that Kinsella wasn’t looking forward to a meal of cat.

“But don’t let that get in the way of a good slander campaign.”—Dawg
To Dawg: Don’t worry, we won’t. My suggestion? Suck it up.

Oh Look
The dawgie’s chasin’ his tail! Spin-spin-spin-dawgie-spin!

Isn’t this obsession that Jay (and his bestest pals) have with Kinsella getting just a little creepy? Kind of reminds me of those folks Naomi Klein described as “WTO meeting stalkers”. Only sadder.
March 9th, 2009 at 7:18 pm
Oh, I dunno, Truewest. Creepy and obsessive are relative terms, don’t you think?
March 9th, 2009 at 7:36 pm
So the Jackal spends his days writing poison pen letters about bloggers, making bigoted remarks about Chinese cuisine, defending the right of MPs to appear at terrorist rallies and behaving in a manner so repellent that questions are raised in the House of Commons. And you think we’re obsessive tw?
March 9th, 2009 at 8:14 pm
Actually Kinsella pointed out the bigotry of a couple of bigots, made a bad (but common) joke about a Chinese restaurants and was targetted by a couple of nobody Tory backbenchers at the bidding of the incompetent Tory warroom (which appears to be as obsessive as you and your pals). As for the Tamil thing, I won’t pretend knowledge, but if Levant says it was a rally for the Tigers, it’s probably not true. In any event, it’s all very stalker-ish.
BTW, shouldn’t you speechers be whining about Terry Tremaine’s pending contempt hearing, which came about after Richard Warman (another object of you and your bestest’s stalking) filed an affidavit pointing out that Tremaine was posting stuff about Jews being “highly-evolved parasites” in violation of a CHRT order.
March 9th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Interesting point tw, my own view is that a) Tremaine should not have been subject to the order, b) that the order, however vile, once in place needed to be obeyed, c) that there is some doubt as to Tremaine’s mental competence.
The issue here, though, is whether Court orders should be obeyed and I think they should. There is, in my view, no free speech issue in play at this level.
As to the Jackal, he can point out the alleged bigotry of whomever he pleases; the question is whether he should use the lever of access to the Liberal Party to pursue his vendettas. And, of course the larger issue, is whether Iggy really needs these sorts of tactics.
March 9th, 2009 at 8:52 pm
Court orders should be obeyed? Jay, you rebel you.
As for Kinsella, I seem to recall that he spoke only for himself.
March 9th, 2009 at 9:05 pm
Really Truewest, I’m sure you can do better than that by way of description.
What Kinsella did (at least by the published email account) was to point out a couple of people that he believes to be bigots and proceeded to attempt to create the impression that his impressions mattered to somebody, anybody, within the Liberal Party of Canada and to some mysterious ‘friends in Israel’ with some supposed capability of denying entry into the country. He chose to do this to people who may, or may not, as the case may be, have desired stakeholder or at least non-discriminatory status at the Liberal table. Not cool, Truewest.
Kinsella is perfectly entitled to his opinion but when he uses his position as an unelected, unaccountable volunteer of the Liberal Party of Canada, to bully his opponents, because of his personal perceptions, he’s crossed the line.
March 9th, 2009 at 10:01 pm
Or, Jan, one would hope that Iggy would recognize that he crossed the line. Imagine if you will the Jackal writing a prospective client and saying, “Unless you hire Daisy Consulting I will lose all respect for you and, if asked by the Liberal Party or its leader, I will say that your company/organization has very poor judgement and should not be listened to on matters of public importance.”
Even tw should be able to see why using his Liberal influence in a purely private matter renders the Jackal entirely unfit to advise a potential Prime Minister. After all, will Iggy be getting the best possible advice or will he be getting advice which reflects whatever whacky vendetta the Jackal is engaged in this week.

Ah TRUEWEST - I am reading about the Pankue case in Sask – wasn’t our inquistor and friends the lead investigator at the CHRC at the time?
MacLeans, Ahenekew and now Pankue! Dear oh Dear.
House of cards collapsing and raining cats?

Well, here are the respective flags. Judge for yourselves.
Taking a break from pedophile-enabling, NAMBLA-Dick?
March 10th, 2009 at 4:47 am
Jay,
Your analogy misses the mark by a mile. Kinsella has nothing to personal to gain by pointing out the dynamic duo’s bigotry. He is simply saying that if the CIC wants to play footsy with folks who regularly bash Indians, muslims and, hey, Liberals, it can no longer count on his support and that the loss of his support will lose them a (possibly influential) friend within the LPC. That may be heavy-handed. It may be clumsy. It may be bullshit (Does Kinsella’s word carry weight within the LPC? Don’t know. Don’t care) But it’s not a news story. Unless you’re an unfortunately named CPC backbencher or a blogger who posts obsessively about Kinsella.
March 10th, 2009 at 5:54 am
I dunno, truewest, using only your measuring stick for “stalking”, the same would apply to you, vis a vis Levant…
March 10th, 2009 at 6:44 am
Personally I don’t think this backbencher pointing out the Jackal’s scat trail will matter much to LPC officialdom…they live in an atmosphere of ethical depravity anyway, Kinsella’s petty influence pandering escapades are nothing but sandbox tantrums to Librano uber-operatives.
All the nattering about Jackal scat in the commons amounts to fly specs. Moving quickly on any actionable wrongdoings is what counts.
March 10th, 2009 at 9:11 am
WLMR; I agree that anti-Jackal statements from the backbenchers probably won’t have an immediate effect on the LPoC but there are benefits. The Lying Jackal is quick to sue (There’s a rumor that he took a manicurist to court after he developed a hangnail) and since those statements are being made under parliamentary privilege, they can be freely quoted without fear of retribution. That’s a good thing for bloggers.
March 10th, 2009 at 10:32 am
LMAO! They just hit him again! Didn’t look like a backbencher this time either… Film at 11…
March 12th, 2009 at 7:37 am
Oh God Richard, you’re kidding? Again. Wow.
Am I the only one who feels sorry for him?
