Asking for it

They were brought up and educated in England but, although many live on benefits, they admit their loyalty is not to this country but to Islam. They want the UK to be an Islamic state, with sharia law and women in burkas.

Abu Abdullah, 30, an IT consultant who came to Britain when he was seven, said he left school at 12 and began “Islamic studies”.

He said: “I live here not as a British citizen but as a Muslim living in Britain. I pay tax and I have the right to speak out, to argue for an alternative way of life.” telegraph

When the working class Brits have had enough, and that day seems to be coming on rather quickly, our lad Abu is likely to discover that his alternative way of life is a one way ticket back to where ever he or his parents came from.

At this point the British establishment is desperate to try to placate the Islamists for fear that more of its citizens will become extremists. However, at a certain point the regular yobs on the street will have had enough. And then the establishment will have to deal with an age old British tradition, the Mob.

The lid has stayed on for the last forty years and, if the moderate Muslims can persuade their more incendiary cousins to put a sock in it, the lid may remain on. But, at Luton the Islamists went a step beyond.

When it does the extremists will not know what hit them, of course we all know whose side the Left will be on.I remember back in 2004, the Left were more concerned about a smashed Mosque window, then 70 people being blown up on the tube.

Well, they’re not anti-war, as Instapundit would say—they’re just on the other side.

The real danger here is that having failed to oppose them on liberal grounds, the establishment will now face a Le Pen-like nativist backlash.

I hope you’re right, Jay—I really do—but being the eternal pessimist that I am, I think that Britain has passed the point of no return. I don’t think that the current generation has the intellectual wherewithal to take such bold action. The decades of leftist brain-washing (especially in the school system) has done its work. Britain is doomed.

    On cue:

On Friday night, two windows and glass in the door of the home in the town he shares with his parents were smashed, along with the rear windows of cars parked in the drive.

Two PCs were sent to Bashir’s house on Saturday and their car was still there last night. ...

Neighbours reacted with fury to the protection given to Bashir.

Kevin Hattle, 52, said: “I am appalled. My shed was broken into and a motorbike was stolen, but the police did not even come out.”

Another said: “If a white racist had his windows put in, police would not give him round-the-clock protection as if he was a member of the Royal Family. He is supposed to hate this country but calls on it to protect him.”

    Interesting…

That is actually not an unreasonable sentiment, to the extent that he ought to have—and, indeed, does have—the right to speak his mind.

I expect, however, that under Abdullah’s “alternative way of life,” the right of a lonely, brave Briton wishing to speak out and argue for a return to his previous way of life would be suspended.
