I am proud to join the flea in the Salon des Refusés but I am still trying to figure out why the Post, a newspaper relatively hip to blogs, would feature a non-blogging non-entity’s blog lists.

Thanks for this, Jay. Though as BCL demonstrates, there are plenty of blogging non-entities as well.

Jay,
I found your comments about my NP lists rather disappointing. I’ve read and enjoyed your blog for years.
The reason that you weren’t included is because I regard your blog as being non-partisan. As I mentioned in my two submissions, I decided not to include either non-partisan blogs or bloggers.
I’m afraid that’s all there is to it. That’s why Flea didn’t make the lists (as I just mentioned in his Comments section), as well as James Bow, Kelly Nestruck, Candace at Waking Up on Planet X, and others.
Whether I should have included non-partisan blogs, or created a third list, is a matter of debate. Would you have been included? Yes.
But I decided to go another route – and I’m not going to apologize for my decision.
Long story short, these lists outline the blogs that I like, that fit into certain parameters, and that I think are creative/amusing. It’s simply one columnist’s opinion, for better or for worse.
Keep up the good work, and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Damn, you’re not supposed to be nice about it Michael.
Merry Christmas and maybe work up that non-partisan list.
