The Covenant Zone bloggers will be demonstrating in support of Mark Steyn and Maclean’s magazine, and against the ludicrous operation of ‘human rights’ law in this country, when Mark’s hearing in front of the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal kicks off, next Monday, June 2. I’m coming over from Victoria. It is not clear if the Hearing will be open to the public but if it is I’ll be there for most of the morning.
Jay, according to the BCHR website the meeting will be open to the public unless a member requests it not be so…....Rule 35 – Hearings
Notice of hearing
1.The tribunal will deliver a notice of hearing to the participants setting out the time, date and place for the hearing of the complaint.
Interpreters and other accommodations
2.At least 30 days before the first date set for the hearing of the complaint, a participant must notify the tribunal if that participant or their lawyer or agent requires:
a.an interpreter, and/or
b.any other accommodation.
Hearing open to public
3.A hearing of a complaint is in person and is open to the public unless the member hearing the complaint orders otherwise.
I will attend the meeting.
