Welcome to the third world France. There is nothing so delightful than to see real people power standing in front of the tide. A million Canutes. And, having spines of fois gras the group of crooks passing themselves off as the French government has listened to the “French street” seeth and, lest offence is taken, scuttered for shelter.
Now it was not as if the proposed reforms to French labour law were going to create a free market or anything that radical. Mais non. They were a modest attempt to improve the already slight possibility that the hordes of unemployed young rench people might be hired.
So, time for the Canadian government to get serious about recruiting young, bright, often bilingual, French people who are smart enough to realize France has lost the capacity to create her own future. Get those immigration offices open. Look for college grads. Just don’t expect them to have had any, er, job experience.
