Adieu Stephan
Apparently Green is not enough in Outremont.
CTV reports, illiterately,
Supporters of former leadership rivals Michael Ignatieff and Bob Rae are already unhappy with Dion, he said, although a movement to ouster Dion before the next federal election is unlikely. ctv
The word CTV was looking for was oust and that may well happen rather quickly if Dion is unable to deliver victories in Quebec. The mainline Liberal party is nothing if not ruthless and, if they think they have bought a pup, they’ll dump Dion and let Rae and Iggy battle it out in the New Year.
So long as Harper cannot catch a break in the polls, and there is no reason to think he will, there is little danger of a Fall election which gives the Liberals time to oust Dion and elect a more plausible leader.
At the moment, the biggest stumbling block to such a move may well be that the Party itself is broke. Dion is no better at raising money than he was at sussing the science on climate change.
