Kate pointed to Avi Lewis being beaten up by Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Oddly, and imagine my surprise, no comments from people who might support Ms. Ali appear on the CBC site. Now given that the item has been up at Kate’s for two days this is a tad suspicious. But I could not resist leaving the following.
What a great show!It is not often that you see some one as privileged and pedigreed as Avi Lewis beaten up in public. Good for the CBC. I have, I admit, often thought that the CBC tended to have a little too much left bias; but to let Avi walk into a gunfight armed with nothing more than the butter knife of Nation talking points was brilliant.
I especially like his tail between the legs admission of his shock that an intelligent woman of colour might actually like his hated USA. His cringing handshake made my night.
Made me proud to be a Canadian.
